ShootIQ (“we”, “our”, “us”, “the app”, “the service”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and your rights as a user.
a. Account Information
When you create a ShootIQ account, we may collect your email address and authentication credentials. We use Firebase Authentication for secure account management.
b. Presets & Preferences
When you save presets or preferences, we collect camera selections, camera settings, shooting presets, and configurations. These are stored securely in Google Firebase and synced across your devices. They are linked to your user ID (anonymous ID or account ID), not publicly visible information.
c. Usage Data (Anonymous Analytics)
We collect anonymized usage data such as camera brands and models selected, shooting types chosen, feature usage patterns, and interaction metrics. This data cannot identify you personally and is used only for analytics and product improvement.
d. Device & Technical Information
We may collect device type, operating system, browser type (web), app version, and basic diagnostic data strictly for performance optimization, compatibility, and security.
e. Advertising Identifiers (Free Tier Only)
If you use the free version, advertising services (Google AdMob on mobile and Google AdSense on web) may collect device advertising IDs, cookies, and device identifiers to serve relevant ads. Pro users do not see advertisements.

Ad controls:
Your data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides encryption in transit, encryption at rest, secure authentication systems, and secure cloud storage. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use essential cookies for authentication and sessions, analytics cookies for performance monitoring, and advertising cookies for ad personalisation (free tier only). You can control cookies via your browser settings.

Account data is retained while your account is active. Presets and preferences are retained while you use the app. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely. Inactive anonymous data may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity.
ShootIQ is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notifications, email notifications, or website notices. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
